The Hawg Parts Section will be conducted in the spirit of the old fashioned Swap Meet. To me the swap meet was where I spent hours and a few dollars for that part I had been searching for.
True, today all you have to do is go on EBay and do a search for that needed part or open up that aftermarket catalog, pick out the desired part, order it, and it will come. Probably even chrome plated.
But not too long ago in our history there was no EBay, catalogs or custom parts on the shelves of a local motorcycle shop. The swap meet was the source of parts for your project.
In the tradition of the swap meet there will be parts, motorcycles, and memorabilia, wanted and for sale. Also, to uphold this same tradition, I would like to invite all of you with parts and Hogs for sale to email me an ad, but please, be honest about the condition of your items for sale and ask a fair price for your items. I would like to discourage those that see Harley-Davidsons as an investment and encourage those that see them, as they really are, a terrific form of transportation and a way of life. Here is the UGLY 55 in an early version. It is a great runner built almost entirely with antique HD parts. I already have some ideas for the Ugly 55 for this winter. I was able to find a correct rear fender and fuel tanks at Davenport Swap meet this year. I will keep you up to date as the project continues.

This is how the Ugly 55 looks now with 16 inch wheels front and rear, the correct rear fender, era front fender, Flanders Bars,luggage rack and a couple of other changes, with a few more in the works. I still have not put the correct fuel tanks on yet, maybe I will get them on this coming winter. I don't want to do it now because I am having too much fun riding it. Keep checking back.

I have two new projects that I am doing and they are a 1947 FL and a 1945 FL.The first one I am doing is the the 1947 FL which has a correct frame and matching numbers on the engine cases. The sheet metal is painted, the motor and transmission is done now I am starting to assemble the motorcycle out of the boxes of parts you see here. Keep checking back for updates.

I have a roller right now with the transmission, engine, front end and wheels on. I will check a few more mounting points and fitment then I will disassemble the motorcycle and send the frame and other components out to Stan's Custom Powder Coating. Don't worry the whitewalls are just for mock up and will go when the Firestone tires come in.
